AT LEAST Thirty-Second Thursday

Tonight, Jordan took us to the lake where he has been training Rocky this week. He has a couple of pigeons and a starter pistol (kinda like a cap gun) that he's using, so it was a very different training session from what Serena is used to seeing (and hearing!). She looked like a little human sponge! Her eyes were wide and watched Jordan's every move so closely. You could almost see the wheels turning in her head!!! She didn't want to let Jordan out of her sight in case she might miss something interesting!

The first video is all Serena. In the first clip, she's rocking her baby to sleep. The other day, I discovered her in the rocking chair in her room with the boppy pillow on her lap and the baby on top of it and she was 'singing' to her (the same way I do with Serena before I put her to bed)! I grabbed the camera, but of course, she was on to the next thing before I got back. However, I sat on the floor and nursed Bret while she played, and pretty soon she climbed back up on the rocking chair and did it again! Notice how she situates the baby's legs on either side of herself (Serena straddles me when I rock her) and then hugs her baby. Awe! ;) Then, there's a little clip of her 'sneezing.' In the next clip, she is looking at her "Old MacDonald Had a Farm" book and singing "e-i-e-i-o"! Sorry for the dishwasher in the background. I didn't want to get too close to her because I didn't want her to notice me with the camera and quit! The next clip is a new variation on her "Hi! Bye-Bye!" game. Now she goes in and out of the back door, and boy, does she think she's big to be going outside and 'closing' the door behind her! For the next clip, I have her say "Buckle the buckle" (something she LOVES doing with her highchair buckle!). I just think it's cute how she tries to say it. :) The last clip is footage of Serena & Rocky playing 'tea party' together! She LOVES playing with her tea set, and has found that Rocky is always willing to 'play along'!

Bret did a pretty good job in his video this week! In the first clip, Serena climbed up on the couch where Bret was laying and tried to make him smile the way she sees us do it (touching his cheek and talking in a high expressive voice)! I love it! The rest of the video is just Bret smiling and looking and trying to 'talk.' I took some video before giving him a bath one night and it's fun to see his naked baby-ness!!! :)
