If I leave Bret within Serena's reach, I have to stay close by to supervise! It's like there's a magnet drawing her to him...especially if she sees that he is alone! Today, I peeked at her to see what she was doing with Bret. She would hug him and kiss him and then she would try to pick him up by putting her arms around the middle of him and lifting. Thankfully, he's a little too big for her to really be able to move him. And, at the rate he seems to be growing, it soon will not be an issue at all! ;) Anyway, I started snapping pictures!
As my photo shoot was drawing to a close (this picture should be last, sorry!), I asked Serena to "give Bret some love." With her dolls and stuffed animals, Serena usually hugs and kisses them if I say that. This time, she took Bret's hands and began trying to put them across each other. He started fussing (understandably), and I was momentarily mystified as to what she was trying to do. Then it dawned on me: she was trying to help him do her "I love you" sign! How adorable is that?!
Trying to pick Bret up. "I think I can do it, Mommy!"
"This is Bret's tummy"
Another attempt to pick him up
Sweet babies
Grandma got Serena this plate that sticks to her high chair tray and has a rim around it to aid in the scooping of food. It works wonderfully! Serena loves to use it (not surprisingly since she is so into doing things herself, haha!).

How precious! Bret's life is certainly going to be exciting, tho it looks like he's taking it all in stride!
it's so sweet how she loves bret and seeing her try to "teach" him!
