Today at the park, I asked Serena if she wanted to try going down the big covered slide...the only one she hasn't done by herself yet. She went down it once last summer with Jordan, but hasn't been down it yet this summer at all. So, when she had climbed up on the playset, I coached her from the ground to get to the big covered slide. When she'd reached it, I ran to the end of the slide and looked up and said 'hi' to her to show her that I was down there. She thought that was really funny and didn't seem to have any qualms about coming on down then!

Yay! I did it!
The last time we were at the playground, there were some big kids there and they were climbing all over. Today we had the place to ourselves, so Serena wanted to try the things she saw the big kids doing. Rather than stepping on these steps to climb up, she just straddled the lowest one and sat there for a second or two. She thought it was SO fun!

She straddled this thing, held onto one of the sides, and bounced herself. Since she doesn't weigh much, she can't get it going very well, but she thinks it's fun anyway!
