The Pink & Blue (almost) Daily: Keira's First Birthday Party

Today was a very fun and special day because we got to see Uncle Jason, Aunt Julia, and Kaden & Keira! We've been looking forward to their taking a trip down here ever since we moved to Texas! I was disappointed that Serena happened to be sick this week. :( She's doing better, but still not herself. Her nose started running this morning, so I hope that means the congestion is breaking up and she'll be all better soon! We had some errands that had to be run this morning in Denton, so it turned out to be a very busy day for us. After running errands, we stopped at home for a couple hours so Serena could get half of her nap in. I had a teensy glimmer of a hope that she might fall asleep on the drive down, but I should have known better, haha! Both kids did really well on the drive, so I was thankful for that. Although, Bret got tired of it for the last 10 minutes on our way home; but I was happy he did as well as he did since he's never had to be in his carseat that long before!

I loved seeing Kaden & Keira and getting to watch all the kids together. We tried to get some pictures of the 4 of them, but didn't have much success. I think there might be some good ones of Kaden & Bret, though! They're on Jason's camera, so I'll have to try to steal them when we see them on Friday! ;)

Keira looked so cute for her birthday in her little birthday tutu! :) I'm so glad we got to be there for her big party! I just went back and read the post I wrote about her birth...brings back so many memories of that exciting day! Her first year went by too quickly (doesn't it always?!), but she's added a lot of joy to all of our lives! She's so busy exploring (already been walking for a month or two!) but still lets her mommy put big pretty bows on her head! ;)
