Today was a very fun day because we got to go visit Daddy at work! He showed us around and introduced us to a lot of the people we'd been hearing about since he started working there. Serena mostly acted quiet and shy, except when it was time to say "hi" or "bye." She loves saying "hi" and "bye"! Then, we went out for lunch at an amazing Italian restaurant. I think it was the best Italian food I've ever had! Serena did really well while we were there, but Bret could have done better. At first, we thought he was going to be an angel and sleep, but then he woke up and insisted that he needed to eat too! :P Oh well, such is life with an infant! ;)
After lunch, we headed out to do our grocery shopping which put us getting home around 3. Serena usually goes down for her nap at 12:30 (and sleeps about 3 hours), but did she feel the need to konk out in her carseat on the way home? NooOOooo! She jabbered and squealed the whole way home until we turned in to our development. Then, she very abruptly fell asleep for the last 3 minutes of the drive. I took her inside and she napped for about an hour, but we paid for the abbreviated nap by putting up with Grumpy for the rest of the evening. :P I'm sure it didn't help her disposition that it is also in the 90's here for the second day in a row! BLEHHHH!

Bret was chatting and smiling...until I pulled out the camera!

Isn't that just the way...you try and capture something and they stop the minute the camera is in view. I guess it doesn't help that mine is hot pink!
