Camp Days

It's staff training week here, so we're seeing A LOT less of Daddy! He's usually gone before Serena & Bret wake up in the morning, so he eats breakfast with the staff. After we're up and breakfast has been eaten, Bret is usually ready to go back down for his morning nap and Serena just wants to go outside and play. I have my mop bucket, a large mixing bowl, her little red pail, and a couple small plastic cups out on the patio for her. I just fill the bucket with water, and PRESTO!...at least an hour's entertainment for Serena! ;) If there's time after Bret's nap, we walk over to camp for a little bit. Serena LOVES the swing set over there. I showed her how to drape herself over the swing so she can 'swing' herself, rather than my having to lift her on and push her. I know, I'm a lazy mom! ;) But, really, she loves it; she often wanders over there on her own when I'm chatting with someone and just swings and swings. She likes to climb up the slide and slide back down, too. She figured out that it's easier to climb up if she takes her shoes off because she can get a better grip with her bare feet. :) We usually have lunch at home, and then it's naptime. We always have supper with the staff over at camp, and we really love that! Serena is having fun making friends with everyone!

So, that's a little bit of what's been filling our days now!

I realized after we got back from supper that I hadn't taken a picture of the kids yet today! This was right before I carried them off to bed!
