Loopies and Camp Friends

Today I did a little variation on Serena's pigtails and only pulled the hair through half-way. She looked SO cute in her little 'loopies'! ;)

This is how Serena swings. I like it because it is low-maintenance, haha! She often wanders out to the swingset all by herself while I'm talking with people down at the Barn. She takes off her shoes so she can slide and then swings and swings.

Bret watching Serena in his cute little blue camo bucket-hat. Too bad it is Way Too Big for him. :P It's even kinda big on Serena, so I guess he'll probably get to use it for a couple more summers! ;)

Happy Bret fresh out of the shower!

It's Junior week at Camp and it's very hot! Thankfully, the campers don't seem to mind spending most of the afternoon swimming, haha! We try to make it over there in the morning if Bret's nap leaves us with enough time. Otherwise, we go over in the evening to hang out and eat supper with everyone. Serena & Bret are making lots of 'friends'! ;) I have my hands full trying to keep little fingers from poking Bret's face (??); but mostly the kids just like to talk to him and make him smile, which is totally fine with me. :) Serena is a big hit with the little girls. They all want to hold her and 'teach' her how to say something. I look over to see how she's doing, and Serena is all BIG eyes. I can see that raising kids in this kind of environment presents its own set of challenges, but it's a lot of fun, too!
