Camp Friends

Today we drove down to Kansas City to see some of the camp staff.  We watched a few of them play in a soccer game and then we went to eat supper with them at a Mexican restaurant.  Serena & Bret did a great job on the 4-hour drive each way!  However, by the time we arrived in KC, I was feeling pretty hoarse from talking with Serena and reading her stories the whole way down!  ;P  When we arrived, Paul came up to the car and Serena surprised us all by recognizing him and saying, "Paul!"  Later, as we were standing in the parking lot talking and waiting for the other kids to get out of class, Morgan's mom came over and introduced herself to us.  As we stood talking to her, Serena was on my hip watching Morgan's mom carefully.  She looked so much like Morgan, especially when she talked!  Finally, Serena pointed at Morgan's mom and then said "Moh-gan?"  Haha!  I think she recognized Morgan's characteristics, but was confused because she didn't look quite like she used to!  ;)  When Morgan did walk up, Serena was really excited and ran to meet her.  Later, when we saw Matt after the game, Serena attached herself to him just like she did at camp.  It was fun to reconnect with everyone!
