Pulling Up and Learning Names

No pictures today, but wanted to write anyway.  We went to church at Mark Baptist.  We've been there twice before...the first time was back in May when we first visited The Oaks; the second time was in the middle of the camp season.  Both times, Serena REALLY did not like the nursery.  So this time, we decided to change it up a little and have Jordan drop her off instead of me.  It worked!  I got to sit in the church service!  Yay!  :)  Bret was very good and played quietly for us.  At one point, we put him on the floor to play for a bit.  The next time we looked down at him, he was PULLING HIMSELF UP on the hymnal rack underneath the chair in front of us!!!  YIKES!  Didn't know he could do that!  ;P  So, after being impressed by Bret's physical display during the service, we went to pick Serena up from the nursery.  The workers there had been impressed by Serena's ability to learn names!  Apparently, after Jordan left, they went around and told Serena everyone's names and she remembered them all after just one introduction!  I have noticed how much Serena loves learning the names of people as well as the characters in books.  She seems to take pride in being able to point them out and call them by name.  Sometimes, when we're in the store, she'll randomly point to someone wanting to know what their name is!  "Ummmm, that's just a man who is shopping just like us!"  "Shoppah!"  ;D
