First Prenatal Appointment

I had my first prenatal appointment today.  Jordan was working, so I took the kids and lots of snacks and off we went!  We were gone for a good two hours (the hospital is only a few minutes from our home), but the kids did amazingly well.  I was SO proud of them!  By the time we got home, it was a little after noon, and the kids were hungry and very tired.  Bret fell asleep before we even got out of the parking lot, but since it's only a few minutes' drive home, I figured he'd wake up pretty easily when we got home.  I planned to feed him lunch, then put him down for a nap, but when I got him out of the carseat, he kept his eyes closed and he was like a limp doll!  I held him on my hip and walked down to the door with Serena, we talked, and Bret still slept.  I worked on getting lunch ready for Serena and Bret was STILL asleep.  This is the kid who cried in GREAT distress last Sunday when someone cleared empty trays from the table during potluck at church because he thought they were taking his food away!  I mean, if there's food involved, Bret wants some...probably a lot!  ;)  But, he just slept on.  He was getting heavy, so I finally gave in and went and laid him down.  He slept for another couple hours before finally waking up for a late lunch!  What a little trooper!  Thirteen months old today, by the way!  ;)
