A Few Memories from Our Minnesota Trip

We had a great time in Minnesota for Jessica's shower.  Serena just had a ball playing with Kaden & Keira so much.  Keira is getting old enough to want to run around with Serena and Kaden, so the three of them were quite the bunch!  Serena still calls Keira "Ki-yah" (which Kaden has reluctantly come to tolerate!) and Kaden patiently tries to remember to call Serena "Pookie" (heehee!).  It was fun for Serena to get to be around Jessica so much, too.  She calls her Jex-ca, and says that Aunt Jex-ca is waiting for Serena to come back and play with her toys (ummmm...what toys????)!  ;)  We also saw Bekah quite a bit, and Serena was just infatuated with her.  I think she thought she'd met a real-life princess!  We also met one of David's good friends, who happens to be really big and tall.  Serena's reaction was to point at him and say, "What's that?"  (She still hasn't learned the pronouns "who" and "where;" all of her questions start with "what"!)  It was pretty funny!

The kids did great with all the time we spent in the car!  It's a two-hour drive to my mom's, then 4 1/2 up to Jessica's, then about 45 minutes each time we went down to Granada.  :P  On the way up on Friday afternoon, Mom & I tried to set the atmosphere for the kids to take naps.  Bret kindly obliged us, but Serena was a little too excited about going to Aunt Jex-ca's house.  At one point she was sitting there singing to her baby, "Are you sleeping, Are you sleeping, Are you sleeping" (her version of the song "Are you sleeping, brother John") over and over and over.  Ummm, I'm going to go with NO!!!  ;)  Mom and I were laughing so hard!
