Aunt Julie is up from AZ visiting Mom, so the kids and I took the opportunity to spend some time with her on the lake on JaJu's boat this afternoon. Uncle Grant came along too, and we all had so much!

| Grammie put French braids in Serena's hair for me. Julie & I laughed so hard at how her braids stuck straight out behind her as we went speeding across the lake! It looked so funny! |

We stopped for a while to go swimming. The water was a bit chilly (of which Bret was
NOT a fan!), but we had a good time anyway. Serena wasn't so sure about getting in, until Uncle "Shason" blew up a floaty-thing. Once she was settled into that, she looked around and said, "I
like it!" ;)
After swimming, Kaden & Grant went for a ride on the tube. Serena loved watching them, so I asked her if she wanted to ride on it with Aunt Julie when they were done. I never dreamed that Serena would be brave enough to
actually tube, let alone even entertain the very
idea of it, but she was really excited about it and climbed right on without any hesitations! She eyed the water very seriously, but I think having Julie on there (who was obviously having a great time and very relaxed) set her at ease. She waved to us in the boat, and at one point even wanted to sit up on the tube. That didn't last very long, but Julie was very accommodating! ;) Although Jason went very slowly and tried to avoid rough water, they still had to go over some pretty big waves. Serena's eyes would get SO big and her mouth would be in an "O" shape, but she held on tight and made it through!
