Well, I see I got my pix in the wrong order! Oh well!
We had a great day today! It was really warm, so we made our first trip of the year to the pool. :) Serena had a lot of fun (and looked SO cute in her little swimsuit, might I add!), but after a while she decided she would much rather play at the playground. She kept going to the fence (the playground is right on the other side) and pointing. WE GO TO THE PLAYGROUND EVERY DAY, GOOFBALL!!!! :P Bret was kind enough to decide to take a nap on one of the lounge chairs. :) At one point, Jordan had gone to use the bathroom and while he was gone, I stepped into the wading pool. It slopes ever so gently to about a foot and a half depth. It's under a canopy, too, which is awesome for the little ones! Anyway, so I was standing about halfway into the pool and Serena was at the fence motioning that she wanted to go play on the playground. I told her we'd go in a little bit, and then invited her into the pool with me. I thought she'd go around the pool and enter at the shallow end or at least stop at the edge and want me to help her in. She came right over and started preparing to step in, but she was on the deep side. When I saw that she was going to try to step in, I hurried over there. She knew there was a step, so she had slowed down, but she apparently didn't realize how deep it was! I got there just as she stepped in!! She fell in and her body swung around so she was on her back at the bottom of the pool! It was honestly traumatic for me to see her looking up at me from under the water (yes, her eyes were open!). I still can't get the image out of my mind! She was only under for a split second, since I was right there and able to scoop her out right away (THANKFULLY!). She cried for like 15 seconds, and I hugged her and told her she was okay. I seriously felt like hugging her and crying and not letting go for at least 10 minutes, but she was over it already and on to the next thing! I'm glad she apparently wasn't traumatized by her fall, but I think it'll be a long time before I'm over it!

Beautiful baby all ready for church! This was supposed to be her Easter dress. :)
She's so good at holding him. Of course, it helps that Bret's getting a little stronger, too!
