Today's adventure began with a simple plan to go grocery shopping in Mt Pleasant. Serena was apparently very tired out from the weekend, so I finally went in and woke her up at 9 so we could get things moving today! Upon arriving at Walmart around 10:30, I discovered that Serena not only had a poopy diaper, but that it was leaking out. :P So, off to the bathroom to take care of Crisis #1. After that, we spent Way Too Long wandering around the Electronics Department trying to track down a cord for the projector for Camp. When I finally found what I hoped would be a suitable substitute for what they needed, I started off to the grocery section. Only to get a whiff of Bret's diaper. Lovely. And it had leaked out the back. Off to the bathroom for the second time to take care of Crisis #2. By the time I managed to finish up my shopping at Walmart, we had been there for almost an hour and a half...twice as long as I had anticipated. Oh well, on to Aldi. Got everyone loaded up and headed down the road. About when I got the truck up to 20 mph, I noticed a strange noise. I immediately thought, "TIRE!" and sure enough, when I looked at the dashboard, the back tire on the driver's side was lit up. We were just half a block or so from McDonalds, so I pulled over there. I figured that way I could get the kids in the air conditioning and nurse Bret while I tried to get a hold of Jordan and figure out a game plan. Of course, the NOT awesome cell phone reception back at Camp made getting a hold of Jordan a not-so-simple task. :P Thankfully, Jordan had an air compressor in the truck, so I aired up the tire and drove it back to Walmart. They were able to get us in right away and patched up the tire. The tire ordeal took about 2 hours. AAANNNNDD, we still had Aldi left to go! :P Which, thankfully, was uneventful. As was the trip home. Phew!
I've been thinking for a while now that I'd like to try putting Serena's hair in pigtails since it's getting pretty long, but I kept forgetting to pick up little hair ties until today. They turned out SO cute!!! :)
Going down the "Shthiiieeyy"
Serena's very first pair of pigtails! Awe!
Bret watching Serena play. He loves watching her! If she comes up close, he tries to grab her and smiles so big!
Gonna go up again!
"Hi-eeee!"
Plop!
