Keeping Cool

The buckets of water have been a great activity for Serena this week with the heat index at 110 every day!

We spent time playing with the new dogs again today. When we drive by the kennel, Serena looks out the window and says, "Hi, puppa! Bye, puppa!" I forgot to share an anecdote from yesterday when the puppies first arrived. After a while, Serena started playing with her bucket of water. The puppies came over and realized they were thirsty. They had to reach and one almost fell in as they lapped up the water. It was pretty cute, so I was laughing at them, which was probably what made Serena want to try it! All of a sudden, she was putting her head down in the bucket with the puppies' and lapping up the water with her little tongue! Hahaha! (Don't worry, I told her it was yucky and made her stop.)

Just up from her nap. I love how she's still sucking her paci and clutching her baby. And then there's Bret's hat, which she insisted on wearing!
