Peer Pressure

Serena seems to be dealing with some interesting peer pressure these days! Every day, when I get Serena up in the morning, she first says "Hi, Bet!" then, "Hi Say-See! (Macy)" and then, "Hi, Kah-Kah! (Rocky)" I don't usually get a hi, come to think of it! ;P In fact (I forgot to mention this before), but when we got home Monday afternoon, we had only been here for a few minutes when Serena came up to me (she had been running around checking things out) saying "Kah-Kah? Kah-Kah?" in a very tearful voice! I had to stop and reassure her that Rocky was with Daddy and we would see him very soon! This morning, we spent about 20 minutes playing pretend that she was a dog. She would go into the kennel and lay down and pretend to go to sleep for a split second, then come back out. Then we would bark a few times and then I would tell her to "Kennel" again! It was so funny! She takes her games of pretend very seriously; her big brown eyes just make me want to laugh! ;) Later, in the afternoon, I caught her laying next to Rocky (see picture below) while I was nursing Bret. She also tried to lay next to him in the kennel, but apparently Rocky didn't really like having her quite so close to him when he was trying to sleep, haha! She keeps walking around with the dogs' stuffed snake IN HER MOUTH. (Yucky!) So, this afternoon, the dogs were playing with their stuffed octopus, and Serena suddenly started running around the house urgently looking for the snake and yelling, "Sake! Sake!" She apparently couldn't find the snake and had to get creative in her dog toy choice because things got quiet for a few seconds. THEN (and this one definitely takes the cake!), she came around the corner of the couch WITH JORDAN'S OLD! DIRTY!! STINKY!!! YUCKY!!!!! TENNIS SHOE!!!!!! IN HER MOUTH!!!!!! BBBBLLLLAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! Guuhhhh-ROSSS!!!! I think this peer pressure thing has gone a little too far!

Pals (or at least, Serena thinks so!)
