We're ALL sick. Boo! :( REALLY boo! :( Poor Jordan has to keep pressing on with his responsibilities at camp. Thankfully, this is the last week and it's almost over. As soon as everyone leaves, I'm going to mandate at least 2 or 3 days of rest for him!!! Bret has his very first cold. Poor little guy. He's still pretty happy and smiley, but sleep is somewhat elusive. I'm starting to feel quite a bit better tonight myself. I'm really hoping Bret lets me get some sleep tonight because I think that he and I would both be doing a lot better if we weren't getting up 10 times throughout the night! (Yes, we really did that last night!) :P Serena is definitely not herself. She rallies and has a good time for a while, but then she'll fall apart over stupid little things. I'm trying to be patient and compassionate with her!
In spite of their colds, both babies stayed pretty busy today! Grandma stopped by this morning after picking up Grant from camp. (He got really sick too, so he went home early.) Serena was so very excited to see her and asked about Grandpa and Anna, too! Kari dropped off some amazing homemade chicken noodle soup and bread along with some raw honey, so we should be on the road to recovery in short order!!! ;) She also dropped off Serena's birthday present...a big black truck! She loves it! I've got pictures, which I'll post later. :)
Bret is loving his exersaucer!
Serena likes to go over and play with Bret and give him toys while he's in the exersaucer. Granted, she puts most of the toys in the seat with him where he can't reach him, but I guess it's the thought that counts! ;)
Serena carefully washed each of her dishes today, moving them from the dog carrier to another bag as she washed them. Notice how wet her front is from the washcloth! This is why I didn't put the cute white top on until right before we went to camp, haha!
Bret loves chewing/sucking on his fingers!
Smiley!
He's really into yelling and loves it when I 'yell' back at him. We have some pretty long exchanges sometimes!
Serena & Bret are such great little camp babies! Tonight, Bret was passed around quite a bit, doling out smiles liberally. He finally fell asleep in the arms of one of the boy campers! The kid has a nephew a little older than Bret, and considers himself to be very good with babies. ;) In the meantime, Serena was dressed in a sweet pink polka-dotted jumper with a pink polka-dotted bow in her bleached-blonde curls...standing in the middle of the carpet ball table!!! She had a crowd of teen campers around her cheering her on as she tried to throw the balls down to the other end of the table. As Jordan said, she is the camp munchkin!
My poor bambina! She is so sick and worn out!
