Mom Makes It Fun

Today, being Monday, was of course my designated run-errands day.  I had to be mindful of the time because Jordan needed the truck by 1:45.  We stopped at the library first, and made Serena's day by seeing Lisa & Tia, even though there was no storytime.  ;)  We spent some time there looking at books and building puzzles.  Definitely our favorite stop each week!  Next was Walmart and then Aldi.  As we were getting our groceries rung up at Aldi, I noticed the time.  12:45.  We were on target to be home by 1:30 at the latest!  I was feeling pretty proud of myself for accomplishing this feat as I reached into my purse to pay for the groceries.  I dug around for a while and then I realized...it wasn't in there!  I knew right away where I had left it...on the check-out counter in Walmart.  The lady at Aldi was so nice about it and suspended the transaction while I worked on retrieving the wallet.  I thought it would be simple:  call Walmart and drive over and get the wallet.  I mean, surely the nice cashier at Walmart wouldn't pocket my wallet!!  I called Walmart, and they took forever 'looking' for my wallet, and then said it hadn't been turned in yet and to try again later.  By this time, I had the kids strapped back in their seats and went to start the truck.  Nothing.  Just some clicking.  ???  I tried calling Jordan, but thanks to our lack of reception at home, couldn't reach him.  :P  Called Walmart again.  They still hadn't seen my wallet, but took down my number.  :/  Finally, Jordan called me back and said it sounded like the truck just needed a jump.  Why do I not think of these things on my own?  Thankfully, I was able to find someone pretty quickly, and we were on our way to Walmart in a few minutes.  Once at Walmart, I decided to start at the service desk.  The lady reached under the desk and immediately pulled out my wallet!?!  She said the cashier had brought it up right away.  So, I don't know what was going on the other two times I called!!  :P  Anyway, back to Aldi.  Got our groceries and finally made it home at 2:15.  Good thing my husband is so gracious even when his wife is so scatterbrained!  :P

After naps, we continued our potty training endeavors, which are continuing about the same as the last two days.  :)
