Softball Night!

Serena still loves playing with Bret. He also appears to love it when she plays with him. He smiles at her and coos away! It's adorable! Today, when she was sitting on the floor next to him and 'talking' to him, he was smiling and cooing back, so I said, "Awe, Bret loves you, Serena!" Serena immediately did her "I love you" sign to Bret! It was so sweet! Then, she grabbed each of Bret's hands in her own and started to try to help him do the "I love you" sign!

Serena is still very obsessed with music and makes sure that we pretty much always have some playing. You've probably noticed the constant music in the background if you watch the videos on Thursdays! ;) Today, Serena was trying to get me to turn on the music on the computer, but I was trying to stall her because I wanted to finish something up first. Meanwhile, she was getting more and more urgent with her "music" sign. Finally, she went and grabbed her baby and made the baby do the "music" sign. "Oh, your baby wants music too?" I said, as I continued to stall. Serena made her affirmative, "Eh heh" sound and relaxed for just a moment. But, then she realized that I still was not moving toward the computer, so she grabbed Bret's hand (who was in the bouncy seat nearby) and made him do the "music" sign too!!! I had to laugh! And I finally went and turned on the music!

I was trying to get a picture of Bret smiling at Serena. This was the best one I could get. It wasn't a full-blown smile, but you get the idea!

There's a big smile! Pretty sure he was talking too!

Serena is currently fascinated by snaps! She's trying so hard to figure them out!

One of Serena's favorite things to do with Bret is point out every feature of his anatomy! "Noooose" (sounds similar to "Ooooo's")

Jordan had a softball game tonight! Since the game was at 7 this time, there were lots of other fans there! Serena had fun watching all the other kids and eating their snacks, haha! And Jordan hit an in-the-park homer! :) Oh, and they won the game!!! :D

On the way there, I filed my nails a little (it's hard to find an opportunity to do things like that!) and Serena desperately wanted to give it a try! When I was done, I handed the nail file over to her and she had a lot of fun filing her nails too!
Our pastor's oldest daughter is the most stylish 12-yr-old I've ever met! This is her scarf, and she kept Serena entertained with it for about 10 or 15 minutes! Serena loved her and loved trying on the beautiful scarf!
