Trying Out the New Life Jacket

Serena is sick. :( Why is it that she has such a hard time sleeping when she's sick. Sleep is what she needs! Yet, she woke up early from her nap this afternoon. Poor thing was obviously not feeling well, but there was no chance she was going to go back to sleep. It occurred to me that it was girls' swim time over at camp, so I put Serena in her swimsuit, grabbed her new life jacket, and we headed to the 'beach.'

The life jacket was awesome! You could tell Serena felt so confident in the water with it on. It kept her upright, but wasn't in the way. The big sleeves that looked so awkward were not an issue at all in the water. When Megan let go of Serena, Serena would float around and kick her legs and was completely unfazed by being 'alone' in the water! We had a lot of fun spending the afternoon down there!

I really thought I took a picture of Bret while we were down there too; but apparently I didn't, since there isn't one on the camera card! :P He seemed to enjoy the beach as well, though! ;)
