Kennel!

Serena really wanted me to put her in a kennel this afternoon after I had just kenneled up the doggies after we got back from a walk.  The problem was that I only had two kennels, and with three wet, muddy doggies, there weren't any kennels left over for my Pookie puppy!  Thankfully, I had a big, empty box sitting nearby!  I've been working on reorganizing my kitchen/pantry space, and I managed to free up a nice big strong box.  As you can see, both of the kids love it!

I've been telling Serena the creation story every night at bedtime.  She's been thinking pretty hard about it.  Today, when we were walking out to feed Dani, she pointed out the sunshine.  (Little rabbit trail:  She loves the sunshine and always points it out! As soon as we come out from behind the shadow of the house, she goes, "Sunshine!!!"  One day, it was cloudy and she said, "Where sunshine go?"  I was preoccupied with something else and responded off-handedly, "I don't know, Serena."  All of a sudden, I heard her shouting, "Sunshine!!!  Where are you, Sunshine??!!!")  So, I said, "Who made the sunshine, Serena?"  I didn't know if she would be able to come up with the answer, so after a few moments I said, "God made the sunshine, didn't He?"  Serena thought about this for a while.  Then she said, "God made sunshine.  Thank you, God!"  Later, she was admiring a flower on her hair clip and said, "God made flower.  YAY  God!" (accompanied by lots of clapping!)  Now she's pretty obsessed with the concept of God being the One Who made everything.
