Bret's First Bath

We were home all day today. Mom & I mostly just played with the kids and had a lot of fun! We decided to make today bath day, since Bret still hadn't had one and Serena didn't get her usual Sunday bath! Bret's umbilical cord stump didn't fall off until 4 days ago, but even then I didn't feel like it was too big of a priority to give him a bath since he was pretty well cleaned off after being born under water!

I think this picture is so funny because Bret actually looks a little worried about his bath, haha! He actually did really well and didn't fuss at all!

Bret has plenty of dark hair! I wonder if he'll keep it or if it'll turn blonde like Serena's did?

While we were busy giving Bret his bath, Serena was watching closely from the vantage point of her high chair. When we were done (and had let Serena down), she went and got her 'baby' and then began earnestly trying to communicate that she needed to give her baby a bath! We emptied the tub and then gave her Bret's washcloth. She looked a little skeptical at first about the empty tub, but then decided it was okay. She was very thorough in her bathing her baby!

Next, we let Serena have Bret's towel. She spent a lot of time wrapping and re-wrapping her baby in it!

Serena kept Grammie really busy today. They had a few tea parties; stacked (and knocked over) blocks, read books, and put together a puzzle. Grammie got a workout chasing Serena around the kitchen island with a couple of Serena's push toys! Serena had a ball!
