Big Day

Today was a really big, busy day! We went to church in the morning (Bret's second Sunday...he slept through it all once again!); in the afternoon, we girls went to a baby shower that some girls at the church threw for me and a couple other girls in our church; then, we had to say goodbye to Aunt Julie & Uncle Luke.

Grammie brought a new dress for Serena. She looked so precious in it! (She was eating a banana in these pictures...hence the funny expressions!)

Serena found plenty to amuse herself with at the baby shower! ;)

Serena doing one of her favorite things!

There was another little girl there who was 10 months old. She thought Serena's perch looked like fun!

Bret sleeping...like usual! ;)

Serena was pretty tired by the time we were saying goodbye!

Horak boys

While Jordan was gone taking Luke & Julie to the airport, Mom did some ironing for me. Serena did some ironing too...on her little toy ironing board!

Before Serena went to bed tonight, she was playing on the floor while I was changing Bret. She spontaneously laid down on her tummy a couple feet from Bret and started playing peek-a-boo with him! She would cover her eyes with both hands, then pull them away (looking right at Bret) and say, "Boo!" Then, a while later, I had laid Bret in the pack-n-play bassinet and Serena went up to the side. She would stand on her tip-toes and look over the side at Bret (she is barely tall enough to see over!) and say, "Hi!" Then, she would bend her knees so she could look through the mesh at him and say "Hi!" again! She did it over and over (there will be video on Thursday!)! It was so cute! She really had us laughing tonight!
