AT LEAST Thirty-Second Thursday

Bret continues to amaze us with his propensity to roll himself over if placed on his stomach. It really seems like he knows what he is doing! He arches his back and leans over to the side and whoop! over he goes!

Lately, Serena has gotten it in her head that it is really fun roll Bret over herself. Bret is very easy-going and rarely complains. Still, I keep a close eye on their playtimes together so things don't get too rough! This afternoon, I left Bret on the living room floor (with Serena) and went to the kitchen to get a drink. I only took my eyes off them for a minute, I promise! When I looked at them again, Serena had apparently rolled Bret over from his back to his stomach, grabbed two handfuls of the back of his romper in her hands, and was holding him about 3 inches or so UP OFF THE FLOOR!! BY HIS CLOTHES! She appeared to have plans of carrying him someplace (WHO KNOWS WHERE?!?! Scary thought!), but I convinced her to place him back on the floor ("so gently!"). Bret seemed unaffected by all the excitement.

The first video is of Bret & Serena. It's so fun to watch their interactions! In this video, Serena talks to Bret, Bret smiles and talks to Serena, Serena holds Bret, and Serena tickles Bret (I asked her to for Aunt Julie's sake, because I know how much she likes to hear her say, "Thiggle, thiggle, thiggle!"), heehee! :)

The second video is all Serena. In the first clip, we're on a walk and I have her say a few words. She also sees the kitty and says, "Hi Kitty!" :) She loves that cat! In the next clip, she's having 'tea' in the back yard. It was SUCH a hot day, and it was much warmer in the house than it was outside in the shade. I figured that playing with water on a day like that would be a good idea. Serena loved it! In the last clip, she's grooming her faithful friend Rocky. :)

For a few months now, Daddy & Serena have had a game they play together where he makes faces at her and she tries to make the same face back. I keep meaning to get it on video, and FINALLY remembered to do it today! It turned out to be a kinda long clip, but I didn't want to edit any of it out, so I decided to upload it as a separate video instead of making the other one super duper long! It's pretty funny to watch her try to figure out what to do with each part of her face in order to contort it the way Jordan does!
