Today was the first day that Serena did not cry when getting dropped off at nursery!!! HURRAY! We didn't really put her in nursery until we started going to church in Prosper. In our church in WDM, it worked out just fine to keep her in the service with us. When we started the church hunt down here, we didn't really want to traumatize her by putting her in a different nursery every week. We just weren't comfortable with that idea at all. So, at 17 months of age, she started going to nursery for the first time. Of course, there was the expected separation anxiety; but she was always playing happily when we came to pick her up and the nursery workers said that she always quit crying within a minute or two after we left her. The nursery workers like her a lot, and often greet her when we see them out in the parking lot before or after church. She also waves happily to them when we say goodbye and thank you when we pick her up. Well, once Bret arrived, we decided that Jordan would take Bret into church while I took Serena to drop her off at nursery. I kept trying to think of things to make it easier for her, but she would even start whimpering when we pulled into the church parking lot because she knew we were going to leave her! :( Finally, I thought maybe it would be better if Jordan took her in. She often handles things differently when Daddy is with her. So, Jordan started taking her 3 weeks ago. The first week, she barely cried at all. The second week, she cried more like normal. But this week! She did it! No crying! And she was Little Miss Happy when we came to get her! Hopefully, this is a trend that will continue!!!

A grin from Bret! He's so social now! He smiles at anyone who will talk to him!
A smile from Serena
Serena was really into washing things today. Her baby got a very thorough washing...as evidenced by the big wet spot on her belly!
She washed every one of her books, too!
