How in the world do you teach a toddler the correct usage of "you" and "me"???? If Serena wants to do something or try something that Jordan or I are doing, she points to herself and says, "You! You!" Of course, it makes complete sense, since we will say, "Do you want to do fill-in-the-blank?"
Another word we hear from Serena pretty often is "self." For example, I'm about to lift her up into her highchair and she'll suddenly start saying urgently, "Self! Self!" This means she wants to do it herself. You will also often hear this word while dressing her, helping her up/down stairs, and playing with her!

Found a walking stick!
Still a babe-in-arms (or sling, haha!), but soon enough he'll be running around with the Bambina!

I have to post on this because I used to get worried about this same thing:)
I read that it's better to just try and model correct language rather than correct it. Use the word "I" when you're referring to yourself and model it as much as possible. If you try to correct it they will 'over-think' it and become confused with what they are doing. Just use it all the time in your speech. Like "I have to make a snack, I want to go outside." She will copy you:)
