The BIG Slide

We took Serena to the playground again this evening. This time, we had Daddy with us, which makes it so much more fun!

She was so excited to get out of her stroller and get busy going down the little slide! She looked so little walking up to the playground!

My Moby baby

After Serena had been going down the kiddie slide for about 15 minutes, Jordan climbed up on the playset with her. They went up to the top level, and he went down the big twisty slide with her. She thought it was really fun! The next time she went down all by herself!! She was so proud of herself! And her hair was SO staticky!!! Haha! Sticking straight up!

Before going down the first time, they stopped to wave at me for a picture. The sun was right behind me, though (and Serena HATES getting the sun in her eyes!), so Serena would just glance at me and then turn to the side and smile while waving at me, hahaha!

When we got home, Jordan talked with our neighbor for a while (he was out working on his car). I noticed Serena had assumed the same stance as Jordan's, so I snapped a picture! ;)

Usually I carry Serena to her room to put her to bed, but for whatever reason I had her walk with me tonight. She was going along just fine right up until we were about 2 feet from the door. Then, she suddenly veered off to the toys right outside her room. I was just about to call her back to me, when I saw her pick up her baby doll and give her a big loud kiss. She then placed the doll back in the stroller and came back to me. A moment later, we were just about to walk through the doorway into her room when she suddenly turned around as if she'd just remembered something. She hurried back to her baby, picked her up, and did the "go sleepy" sign on her baby's face! It was so hard not to laugh as I said (in a tone that I hoped matched the serious look on Serena's face), "Yes, it's time for baby to go sleepy, too!"
