Serena loves to help me change Bret's diaper. She holds the wipes case and hands me wipes as I need them. When I tell her "That's all," she closes the lid on the wipes and puts the case away (up on the dresser if we're in her room or up on the bed if we're in our room). Then, she comes and takes the dirty diaper and carries it out to the kitchen to throw it in the trash for me. It's pretty handy having such a helpful toddler around, heehee! :) Today, after I finished changing Bret's diaper, Serena grabbed a wipe and started pretending to change his diaper herself. She had fun wiping his bottom, and he seemed to enjoy the interaction!
Nursery went really well again this morning!! As we walked up to the church, Serena was pointing us towards the Children's Building and 'talking' happily! Quite a difference from when she used to start crying as soon as we pulled into the church parking lot, haha! Jordan & I worked in the infant nursery for the morning service, so we were in the room right next to Serena. I wondered if that might be a hard thing for her, and figured we could just bring her in with us if it was. However, she completely surprised me! Not only did she walk merrily into her nursery room and get busy playing right away, but she saw Jordan a couple different times through the open door and just smiled at him and went back to playing!
One other funny little anecdote: When we got home from church this morning, I went to change Serena's diaper and discovered that she was wearing a size 1 diaper! It was one of Bret's diapers! I apparently had left a couple of his diapers in Serena's diaper tote, so the nursery worker accidentally grabbed one of his when she went to change Serena's diaper. I couldn't believe she managed to squeeze Serena into a size 1!!! She normally wears size 3!!! Good thing she didn't poop, haha!
